$6.9 Trillion...

While doing some research on real estate markets throughout the country, we came across an astonishing statistic published by Zillow - “The total value of private residential real estate in the U.S grew by a record $6.9 trillion in 2021, to $43.2 trillion.” 

The TYPICAL U.S. home rose in value by 19.6% in 2021.

In some of Maine’s most popular counties, we’ve seen large increases in home values including 16.7% in York County, 17.9% in Androscoggin County, 17.9% in Cumberland County, and a whopping 38.0% in Sagadahoc County. 

And in some towns and cities the rate was even higher- Portland’s home values went up 26%.
